12-hour water cut in Homagama today
Sri Lanka, April 5 -- The National Water Supply and Drainage Board (NWSDB) has announced that water supply in the Homagama area will be suspended today from 8:00 a.m. to 8:00 p.m., lasting a total of 12 hours.
The decision to interrupt water supply comes amid prevailing dry weather conditions. While an initial plan had called for a 24-hour suspension, the NWSDB later reduced the period first to 18 hours and then to 12 hours.
Meanwhile, the National Water Supply Board stated that a special program is being implemented to provide water using bowsers in the event of further disruptions to the water supply in the Colombo district.
