Tokyo (VNA), Feb. 1 -- The blend of Vietnamese cuisine with wine from Japan's Yamanashi prefecture shined at an event held in Tokyo on January 31, gathering a large number of representatives from Japanese agencies and firms.

In his remarks, Governor of Yamanashi Nagasaki Kotaro described the event as a culinary exchange, where Vietnamese signature dishes prepared from the fresh Yamanashi ingredients are enjoyed alongside premium wines from the same prefecture.

Interactions between Vietnam and Yamanashi are vibrant, he noted, highlighting the recent establishment of the Vietnam-Yamanashi friendship association on January 30, a move to deepen locality-to-locality exchanges.
