Chennai, April 24 -- Tamil Nadu is the only state in the country with the first-ever
Green Climate Fund and it would now be rolled out with Tamil Nadu Infrastructure
Finance Management Corporation (TNIFMC) as the fund manager for the State
Government.
In her address at the Conference on Carbon Neutrality organised by the Confederation
of Indian Industry (CII) here on Wednesday, Ms Supriya Sahu, Additional Chief Secretary
to Government, Environment, Climate Change, and Forest Department, said TNIFMC
would select Industries and Corporates to access the allocated funds of over Rs 1000 crore.
Another Rs 1000 crore fund has been allocated for the Green Shoe Option, she said.
