Stockholm, April 18 -- The police in Sweden have received a request to hold a Quran-burning demonstration on May 3, a day before the start of the Eurovision Song Contest in the country, Swedish media have reported.

The SVT broadcaster reported on Wednesday that the Quran-burning demonstration was requested at the Gustav Adolfs torg square in the Swedish city of Malmo, where the Eurovision Song Contest will be held.

The country's police will consider the request and decide whether to authorize the demonstration, the report said, adding that Sweden's police will also be strengthened for the duration of the song contest since there are "concerns that there may be disturbances" and the potential Quran-burning demonstration is yet another fact...
