New Delhi, March 20 -- Prime Minister Narendra Modi on Wednesday spoke to the presidents of Russia and Ukraine and conveyed India's consistent stand favouring dialogue and diplomacy for bringing an early end to the ongoing conflict between the two nations.

Modi and Russian President Vladimir Putin reviewed progress on various global issues including the Russia-Ukraine conflict during a telephone conversation.

PM Modi also reiterated India's consistent stand in favour of dialogueand diplomacy as the way forward, as per a Ministry of External Affairs (MEA) official.
