Hamirpur (HP), March 13 -- Mass jubilation erupted among BJP workers after Union Minister Anurag Thakur was named the party candidate from Hamirpur on Wednesday evening.
BJP leaders and workers danced in joy and exchanged pleasantries as they were expecting the ticket would be given to Thakur .
It will be the fifth time that Anurag Thakur will contest from Hamirpur. He had first won the seat in 2009 after Suresh Chandel was unseated on cash for query scam issue.
The Congress has so far not declared its candidate from the seat. UNI ZC SSP
