Imphal, April 26 -- Around 14.50 pc of 4.84 lakh voters in Outer Manipur exercised their franchise in the first two hours of Lok Sabha elections across eight districts till 9 am on Friday.

Polling have been peaceful so far. Despite an unclear weather earlier in the day, people queued up outside polling booths before 7 am. Polling will continue till 4 p.m.

Thirteen Assembly segments in eight districts of Ukhrul, Kamjong, Tamenglong, Noney, Senapati, Jiribam, Pherzawl, and Tengnoupal, having 4,84,949 voters, comprising 2,39,140 male, 2,45,807 female and two transgender voters, are polling today.

There are a total of 848 polling stations, of which 202 will be completely managed by all female personnel.
