Jammu, May 3 -- In a significant stride towards bolstering security measures, Jammu and Kashmir Police have made an advanced AI-based facial Recognition System functional at Navyuga Checking Plaza, Banihal in Ramban district of Jammu and Kashmir.

The initiative was taken under the Command of SSP Ramban Anuj Kumar.

A police spokesman said that this technology is designed to identify and track individuals involved in criminal activities, including terrorists, Ground Workers, absconders, history sheeters, thieves, and drug peddlers. The system's implementation marks a pivotal step in the region's commitment to ensuring public safety and combating crime effectively.
