Beirut, Feb. 27 -- Israeli warplanes carried out three air strikes on a village in southern Lebanon on Tuesday, killing a Hezbollah fighter and two members of the Palestinian Islamic Jihad's al-Quds Brigades and wounding four civilians, Lebanese military sources said.
The sources, who requested anonymity, said the airstrikes hit the village of Aita al-Shaab, in the central sector of the border area, at Tuesday dawn.
Medical sources said rescue workers from the Civil Defense and the Islamic Health Authority used bulldozers and cranes to clear the rubble and transport the dead and injured to a nearby hospital.
