Shimla, March 16 -- , Himachal Pradesh, would go for six assembly bye elections and four Lok Sabha elections on June 1 in the seventh and last phase of the general election announced by the Election Commission of India on Saturday.

Six disqualified MLAs who were recently disqualified by the speaker of the state legislature assembly, Kuldeep Singh Pathania, would have to face bye elections as ECI decided to conduct bye elections on June 1 in 26 assembly vaccant seats, including six vaccant seats in Himachal Pradesh. Assembly seats included Dharmshala, Sujanpur, Badsar, Gagret, Kutlehr, and Lahaul Spiti.

For the six bye-elections and four parliamentary seats, notification would be issued on May 7, 2024.
