Shimla, March 1 -- Himachal Pradesh Government on Friday appointed Congress MLA Nand Lal as Chairman of seventh State Finance Commission (SFC).
Lal, after his appointment as SFC Chairman, called on Chief Minister Sukhvinder Singh Sukhu today.
He said that the state was progressing by leaps and bounds under the stewardship of Sukhu and expressed full faith in the Chief Minister.
The new SFC Chairman added that the State Government had launched various welfare schemes which were benefiting the people of the state.
