Shillong, March 5 -- A team of the Election Commission of India led by Deputy Election Commissioner Manoj Kumar Sahoo on Tuesday reviewed Meghalaya's preparedness for the upcoming Lok Sabha elections.
The review meeting was held via videoconferencing with Meghalaya Chief Electoral Officer Dr. BDR Tiwari in the presence of District Election Officers and District Police Chiefs.
During the meeting, the state election officials presented their status of preparation for the conduct of elections.
"The election commission is satisfied with our preparation for the Lok Sabha polls and we are working towards ensuring smooth conduct of elections," Tiwari said.
