Phagwara (Punjab), April 23 -- Half a dozen unidentified men and one woman have looted a money exchanger shop here and fled with Rs 70,000 cash and a couple of mobile phones, police said.

The incident took place on Monday night when the bike borne miscreants entered the shop Paul International, ransacked it before fleeing with the cash and two mobile phones in village Chiherru. Shop owner Dharam Veer told the police that he was sitting in his shop when the group came on two bikes and a scooty, damaged the CCTVs and ransacked his shop before looting him.
