Los Angeles, May 1 -- At least 55 people were injured, including two in serious condition, after a rail train and a shuttle bus collided in Los Angeles on Tuesday, authorities said.



Around noon, a Los Angeles Metro train collided with a University of Southern California bus in the city's Exposition Park area, the Los Angeles Fire Department said.



Besides the two seriously injured from the bus, 16 were transported in fair condition to nearby hospitals, and at least 37 were treated and released on the scene, said the department.



Local media reported that there were about 150 passengers on the train when the collision happened.
