New Delhi, April 7 -- There are approximately 65 lakh (12%) Jats in Rajasthan, making Jats the most populous caste in Rajasthan.

Congress party in Rajasthan is expecting change in the electoral behaviour of Jat community. The party leaders presume that majority of Jats could vote for the grand old party this time as opposed to their voting behaviour in the recent assembly and general elections where majority of Jats had voted for BJP.

There are approximately 65 lakh (means 12%) Jats in Rajasthan, making Jats the most populous caste in Rajasthan. The districts of Sikar, Jhunjhunu, and Churu in Shekhawati region are recognised for their dense Jat population.
