Dhaka, Feb. 25 -- Two more RMG factories in the country have obtained United States Green Building Council's (USGBC) LEED certification (certificate for green factories).
According to the BGMEA, these two factories are: COMFIT, ECO VILLE, located in Gorai, Mirzapur, Tangail, achieved Platinum certification with a score of 85 points and Fakir Eco Knitwears Ltd., situated in Kayempur, Narayanganj, achieved Platinum certification with a score of 85 points.
With these new additions, Bangladesh now boasts a total of 209 LEED Green Factories.
Among these, the number of Platinum reached 79, while 116 earned Gold status in the country. Besides, there are 10 silver factories and 4 certified factories, reports, BSS.
