Bhubaneswar/Cuttack, May 1 -- A heavy spell of rain along with lightning was witnessed in Cuttack-Bhubaneswar twin cities today evening. This brought respite to the residents from severe heat wave conditions.

"Red and Orange alerts will remain in force in some districts for the next two days. No major change is likely in the day temperature during next two days and a gradual fall by 2degC to 4degC thereafter at many places over the districts of Odisha," IMD regional center director Manorama Mohanty expressed.
