Delhi-bound Vistara flight makes priority landing at Bhubaneswar Airport due to hailstorm
Bhubaneswar, May 1 -- A Delhi-bound Vistara flight today made a priority landing at the Biju Patnaik International Airport (BPIA) in Odisha capital after takeoff due to damage to the aircraft owing to hailstorm.
As per reports, the windshield of the Bhubaneswar-Delhi flight developed crack after being hit by hail. The hailstorm also dented the aircraft exteriorly.
The incident took place around 10 minutes after the takeoff. As many as 169 passengers and 8 crew members were onboard the flight. All of them are safe.
Alternate arrangements were done for the onward journey of the passengers.
