India, Feb. 7 -- National Fuel Gas Co. (NFG) announced earnings for fourth quarter that decreased from last year and missed the Street estimates.
The company's bottom line came in at $73.6 million, or $0.80 per share. This compares with $158.1 million, or $1.71 per share, in last year's fourth quarter.
Analysts on average had expected the company to earn $1.33 per share, according to figures compiled by Thomson Reuters. Analysts' estimates typically exclude special items.
The company's revenue for the quarter fell 15.2% to $368.9 million from $435.1 million last year.
