KATHMANDU, April 10 -- The death toll of Nepalis in an accident yesterday in India's Uttarakhand State has reached nine. The accident happened when a vehicle veered off the road and fell into a gorge 150 feet deep on Tuesday near Betalghat, in Uttarakhand's Nainital District of India.

Shrawan Kumar Pokharel, the Chief District Officer of Banke, stated that the accident claimed the lives of people from Banke and Bardiya districts, bringing the number of Nepali fatalities in the accident to nine.
