India, Feb. 14 -- Several kilometre-long traffic jams were observed on Tuesday morning on highways connecting Delhi to Uttar Pradesh and Haryana. Police implemented measures such as barricades, iron nails, container walls, and concrete slabs to prevent protesting farmers from entering the national capital. Major border points between Delhi and its satellite towns experienced congestion and diversions in anticipation of a large farmers' march.

As barricades were erected at Singhu, Tikri, Noida, and Ghazipur borders, many individuals had to cross the Singhu border between Delhi-Haryana and Delhi-Ghaziabad on foot at the Alipur and Tikri borders.
