New Delhi, March 13 -- Students' groups of Jamia Millia Islamia protested on Tuesday against the implementation of the Citizenship (Amendment) Act (CAA) and demanded its withdrawal by the Centre.

They addressed a press conference near one of the university gates and interacted with the media from inside the campus, while Delhi Police remained stationed outside.

Journalists, who arrived in large numbers at the campus to report, were not allowed entry.

The students called for the repeal of the Citizenship (Amendment) Act, 2019, and the release of all students booked in anti-CAA protests nearly four years ago.
