Bhubaneswar, April 20 -- Amidst the tall claims of infrastructural growth and other development, a recent data revealed that the inflation rate in Odisha was highest in March as compared to other states and union territories in the country.

Even as the overall retail inflation rate in the country dropped to a 10-month low of 4.85 per cent, Odisha recorded an inflation rate of 7.05 percent in the month of March.

As per the data released by the Ministry of Statistics and Programme Implementation, the rural inflation rate was higher than the urban with 7.27 percent and 6.46 percent, respectively.
