New Delhi, May 14 -- The Bangladesh Cricket Board (BCB) has named its 15-man squad for the upcoming ICC Men's T20 World Cup 2024 to be co-hosted by the USA and the Caribbean islands. Najmul Shanto will lead the squad as Bangladesh begin a fresh quest to win their first ever ICC title at senior level. He will have the seasoned fast bowler Taskin Ahmed as his deputy despite injury concerns.

Taskin has been replaced in Bangladesh's squad for their upcoming T20I series against USA by fast bowler Hasan Mahmud. However, judging by Taskin's inclusion, BCB seems positive of the 29-year-old's recovery in time for the marquee event that gets underway from June 1 when hosts USA take on Canada.
