New Delhi, March 7 -- The Delhi High Court has set aside the suspension of 7 MLAs of the Bhartiya Janata Party (BJP) from the Delhi Legislative Assembly. The suspended members are Mohan Singh Bisht, Ajay Mahawar, OP Sharma, Abhay Verma, Anil Vajpayi, Jitender Mahajan, and Vijender Gupta.

The MLAs were suspended on charges of misconduct. The court said that for a breach of Code of Conduct, the MLAs could have been given only any one of the punishments provided under Clause 44 of the Fifth Schedule which does not stipulate a suspension for an indefinite period.
