KUALA LUMPUR, May 6 -- A man who displayed a photograph of Yang di-Pertuan Agong Sultan Ibrahim on a campaign vehicle in Kuala Kubu Baru will be charged over the incident, Inspector-General of Police (IGP) Tan Sri Razarudin Husain said.

According to Utusan Malaysia, the IGP said the man who drove and owned the vehicle in question will be prosecuted for incitement under Section 4A (1) of the Election Offences Act 1954.

"The 66-year-old suspect will be charged today at the Hulu Selangor Magistrates Court. The suspect also has a past criminal record," Razarudin was quoted as saying.

The IGP said that while two men were arrested over the incident, the other person in the vehicle will testifying against the vehicle owner.
