Afghanistan, April 28 -- Turkey has sentenced a woman named "Ahlam Al-Bashir," allegedly involved in a bombing in 2022, to seven life imprisonments and 1800 years in prison.

Turkish media reports confirm the recent sentencing of "Al-Bashir," a young woman, for her involvement in the 2022 bombing at Istanbul's Taksim Square.

The explosion resulted in six fatalities and 99 injuries. Despite her culpability, the Turkish High Court issued a verdict sentencing Al-Bashir to seven life terms and 1800 years in prison.

She was convicted of charges including "undermining the unity and integrity of the government" and "intentional homicide" for the deaths of six individuals.
