Srinagar, May 2 -- Former Deputy Mayor Srinagar Sheikh Imran Thursday strongly hit out at National Conference Vice-President and former chief minister Omar Abdullah over his remarks on poll deferment in Anantnat-Rajouri Parliamentary seat.

Sheikh Imran said those took undue advantage of boycott in past should die of shame over dictating terms to Election Commission of India (ECI). He said, "NC first resorted to poll rigging in 1987 which led youth disappointed on democratic process. Later in 1996 when the situation was extremely bad NC leaders like Dr. Farooq Abdullah came forward and played his dynastic politics on the heads of people of Jammu & Kashmir".
