Kamareddy, April 15 -- Advisor to Telangana Government (SC, ST, BC & Minorities) and Congress senior leader Mohammed Ali Shabbir hailed the election of Congress councillor Gaddam Indu Priya as the new chairman of Kamareddy Municipality.
Indu Priya secured 29 out of 50 votes in the elections held on Monday. After her election, she and other councillors called on Shabbir Ali to thank him for his support.
Speaking on the occasion, Shabbir Ali stated that Indu Priya's election as chairman was on the orders of Chief Minister A Revanth Reddy. He also mentioned that Urudonda Vanitha would soon be selected as the Vice Chairman.
