New Delhi/Kolkata, Jan. 16 -- A couple of days after 16 puppies were found dead on the N R S Medical College and Hospital campus in Kolkata, police have arrested two nursing students for the brutal killings.

Reports reaching the National Capital said that the Kolkata cops on Tuesday arrested first-year nursing student Moutusi Mondal and Soma Burman, a second-year student in connection with the mindless killings in the 'City of Joy'.

Both the nursing students will be produced at a city court on Wednesday. The police concluded that it was a planned murder and at least three others were also involved in the crime.

According to a preliminary post-mortem report, the puppies were bludgeoned with blunt weapons.
