New Delhi, Jan. 16 -- Supreme Court on Wednesday decided to hear next week a petition challenging the appointment of M Nageswara Rao as Interim Director of CBI. A bench headed by Chief Justice Ranjan Gogoi said, it would hear next week the PIL filed by NGO, Common Cause. The NGO moved the apex court after the government appointed Mr Rao as the interim Director of the Central Bureau of Investigation. The petitioner has claimed that the appointment of Mr Rao is illegal and it should be quashed. The petitioner said, due process was not followed while appointing Mr Rao as the interim director of the premiere investigating agency. UNI XC SHK1556
