Mumbai, Feb. 18 -- The Rupee on Monday slipped by 10 paise at 71.30 against the US Dollar in early trade on brisk demand for US Dollars by bankers and importers, dealers at forex market said.

Firm dollar against other currencies overseas and negative opening in the domestic equity markets kept the rupee down, they said.

A major fluctuation was seen in the local unit as it recorded intra day high and low at 71.49 and 71.31 respectively. UNI NV SB 1138
