Patna, Feb. 17 -- Prime Minister Narendra Modi arrived by a special IAF aircraft at Jai Prakash Narain International Airport here today on a day long visit to Bihar to lay foundation stones and also launch projects worth Rs 33,000 crore relating to Metro Rail, Fertiliser and Gas pipeline.

Mr Modi was welcomed at the airport by Bihar Governor Lalji Tandon, Chief Minister Nitish Kumar, his deputy Sushil Kumar Modi, Union Minister Ravi Shankar Prasad, State parliamentary affairs minister Shravan Kumar, a number of ministers and senior civil and police authorities.
