Shillong, Feb. 19 -- The opposition Congress party in Meghalaya reacted sharply
to Governor Tathagata Roy's comments supporting a complete "boycott everything
Kashmiri" following the terror attacks where 44 CRPF jawans were killed at Pulwama
in Jammu and Kashmir last week.
Meghalaya Mahila Pradesh Committee president, Joplin Scott Shylla, who led a
candle light vigil to pay homage to the CRPF jawans killed in the Pulwama terror
attacks demanded governor's recall for his controversial comments.
The candle light vigil was held at Khyndai Lad infront of the gate of Meghalaya
Legislative Assembly.
Echoing Shylla, former Excise Minister Zenith Sangma said, "People with such
kind of mentality are not fit to occupy such high position....
