Panaji, Dec. 7 -- Noted author Shashi Deshpande has said that the divide caused by religion was extremely dangerous for the country.
Deshpande was delivering the keynote address at the inauguration function of the 9th Goa Arts and Literature festival in the city on Thursday evening.
Speaking on the topic of 'Right to Equality', the noted author pointed out that the turn of events post the 2014 elections had disillusioned many people in the country. She pointed out how mobs had taken over the land suddenly, either lynching people for suspected cow slaughter or aggressively driving home the Hindutva agenda.
