Bangladesh, Jan. 14 -- Shahjalal University (Sylhet), Jan 14 (UNB) - A student of Shahjalal University of Science and Technology (SUST) was found hanging from the ceiling at his room at Kajalshah in the city on Monday.

The deceased was identified as Taifur Rahman Pratik, 25, a student of Genetic Engineering and Biotechnology department of the university under 2011-2012 academic session.

Sub-inspector Akbar Hossain Bhuiyan of Kotwali Police Station said they recovered the hanging body of Pratik in the evening.

He said prima facie, it seemed that he committed suicide sometime on Sunday night.
