Benapole, Jan. 14 -- A total 29 vehicles, comprising four single-deck buses and 25 trucks, named 'Oprotiroddho Ogrojatray Bangladesh' landed at Benapole port from India and stand ready to be pressed into service in the second week of February.

The buses are now being kept at the DTI terminal. The buses will be brought to Gazipur BRTC depot on January 31. The registration process will take one or two days. After that the buses will ply the road from second week of February, said BRTC Chairman Farid Ahmed Bhuiyan.

Besides these, five more air-conditioned buses, 42 regular buses, 25 trucks and 10 more double-deckers will arrive at the end of January, he said.
