NEW DELHI, Feb. 10 -- The Delhi Government on Saturday announced a proposal of three-fold hike in margin money to fair price for shop owners will be placed in Cabinet. If the proposal gets approve in Cabinet, ration dealers will get Rs 200 per quintal of foodgrain which is Rs 70 currently.

Food and Civil Supplies Minister Imran Hussain said matter of increasing margin money for the ration dealers in offline mode is under active consideration of the Government.

Notably, the Minister also announced about pending arrears of ration dealers. "The demand of ration dealers for payment of arrears of margin money from October 2013 to September 31, 2014, has also been acceded to by the Government.
