Sundergarh/Nayagarh, Jan. 15 -- As many as three persons were killed while 16 others sustained injuries in separate road mishaps in Sundergarh and Nayagarh districts.
In Sundergarh, at least three persons were killed and two other sustained critical injuries after they were hit by a speeding SUV near Telanadihi village in Lephripara area of the district on Monday.
As per reports, the victims were residents of Kurei village under Balisankara block. They had come to Telanadihi village to attend an engagement function. The mishap occurred while they were standing near the road, informed sources.
The injured were immediately rushed to District Headquarters hospital (DHH), where they are undergoing treatment, added sources.
