India, Jan. 15 -- Rohit Shetty's masala potboiler Simmba, that stars Ranveer Singh in the titular role, has surpassed the lifetime business of Chennai Express to become his highest-grossing film ever. The Shah Rukh Khan and Deepika Padukone-starrer, released in 2013, had collected Rs 227.13 crore in its lifetime. Simmba, on the other hand, has amassed Rs 227.71 crore in its 18-day run. On Monday, it added Rs 2.86 crore to reach this remarkable figure. Film critic and trade analyst Taran Adarsh, who has been following the business of Simmba, shared its box-office figures in a tweet he posted on Tuesday.
