Rabat, Jan. 9 -- Morocco ranked 37th most dangerous according to crime perception out of 118 countries in the Numbeo website's 2019 Crime Index. Morocco came fifth in the Arab world and 12th in Africa. The report ranked Morocco among the countries with medium crime rates with a score of 50.2 points in the crime prevalence index and 49.7 points in the security index. Morocco scored 48.8 in the crime prevalence index in 2017. The index is based on such criteria as homicide and robbery. Countries rank on a scale from 0 to 100.
