SHILLONG, Feb. 14 -- Nongkrem MLA and also a candidate for the MDC elections, Lambor Malngiang said that issues like the Citizenship Amendment Bill should serve as eye openers for leaders of the state to look forward and make moves to safeguard the interests of the people in the future.
Stating that he wants to strengthen the laws, rules, regulations to further strengthen the District Council which works towards safeguarding the identity of the indigenous people, Malngiang said, "The central government came up with CAB and this type of activities are eye openers for leaders to move forward and to see that the identity of the people are safeguarded."
