Militant killings over past few years have frustrated their accomplices to an extent that they want to carry out suicide attacks to derail the process for upcoming Parliamentary and Assembly polls.

As per the figures of Union Home Ministry, the state has witnessed 1708 militant incidents in past five years. Similarly, there has been a rise in the number of causalities. Between 2014 and 2018, 838 militants were killed. As the security forces are killing militants each day, their accomplices are trying to derail polls in Kashmir.
