It is a period drama based on life and story of India's first female warrior queen Rani Lakshmibai, who was the Queen of Jhansi. The teaser and Hindi trailer has got stupendous responses from the audience and media.
The Tamil trailer of 'Manikarnika' was presented by Kangana and producers in Chennai. While talking to media, she said, "In my 12 years of career, I never got to do a film like this. I don't think we make such kind of movies. Shows how indulgent we are."
