Sri Lanka, Feb. 18 -- Places of religious worship damaged during the war including Temples, Kovils, Churches and Mosques should be rehabilitated and restored to there previous status, the Malwatte Mahanayake Thera Most Ven. Thibbotuwawe Sri Siddartha Sumangala Mahanayake Thera said.

He said the majority of places of worship damaged are Buddhist temples which should be restored to their previous status.

The Mahanayake Thera expressed these sentiments delivering an Anusasana when Northern Province Governor Dr. Suren Raghavan called on him at his Aramaya in Kandy and received his blessings recently.
