GUWAHATI, Jan. 21 -- 'In the next three to four years, the world of Assamese films and filmmaking will witness a drastic but positive change. It will happen only because of those recently held international film festivals in the State. An international film festival is a place or platform for budding filmmakers to explore the world of cinema and the Assamese filmmakers would be benefited from taking part in such events,' said Srinivasa Santhanam, festival curator and programmer of the first Guwahati International Children Film Festival (GICFF) which concluded today.
