DHEMAJI, Jan. 21 -- Dhemaji district in North Assam recorded overall 72 per cent voter turnout in the Mising Autonomous Council (MAC) election, while it recorded 66 per cent in Sonowal Kachari Autonomous Council (SKAC), which ended at 3 pm this afternoon.
Dhemaji subdivision, which conducted the Council election in 9 MACs (one adjourned) and 4 SKAC constituencies, recorded 71.70 per cent for MAC and 58.90 per cent for SKAC, while Jonai subdivision recorded 73 per cent for MAC and 74.45 per cent for SKAC.
