Registration for MDDA ISBT Residential Scheme on: Tiwari
DEHRADUN, July 23 -- Forms for the MDDA's ISBT Housing Scheme can be purchased from eight branches of the ICICI bank, here, from now onwards. The cost of the form is Rs 570 including tax and will be available till 22 August. There are 45 flats in the four-storeyed MDDA building located at a stone's throw from the ISBT for which the bank has generated around five thousand forms in the first phase.MDDA Secretary Vanshidhar Tiwari shared some important information about the residential project with the Garhwal Post, here, today.'The lucky draw is open to everyone, provided he is citizen of the nation, although there would be some reservation for the residents of Uttarakhand. These forms can be got from the nodal branch of the ICICI Bank here. Registration has begun from today and can be done till 22 August,' said Tiwari, adding that more forms would be produced if 5 thousand forms fell short.Talking about the lucky draw, he said that the same would take place in the month of September. 'The winners of the lucky draw will be given a few months' time, most probably three months, to deposit the remaining amount. The flats available under the project are Mini MIG with covered area of 51 Square Metres. Each flat has two rooms, a kitchen, a lobby, a bathroom, a veranda and a drawing room. However, the cost of the ground floor flats is higher than those on the first, second and third floors. Forms are available for only Rs 570 and the registration amount is Rs 1.4 lakh,' revealed Tiwari.It may be mentioned that freedom fighters, women, MDDA workers, the physically challenged and applicants under special categories will be given reservation, too. 'After announcement of the names, all winners will have to deposit the remaining money within a definite span of time, failing which he or she will have to return the flat and registration money will be subsequently returned. All such flats will again be put to the lucky draw,' he explained.The declared price for the ground floor apartment is Rs 14.8 lakh, while for others it is Rs 10.86 lakh.Sharing information about future such projects of the department, the Secretary said that as many as 600 flats, mostly LIG, were under construction near the ISBT under the next phase of the residential project. It may also be mentioned that the last such housing project was undertaken by the MDDA in 2004 near Sahastradhara....
