India, Jan. 2 -- Country's leading car maker Maruti Suzuki India Ltd (MSIL) has reported a decline of 1 per cent in its total sales in December at 1,17,908 units as compared to 1,19,149 units during the same period a year ago.
Its domestic sales fell by 4.4 per cent to 1,06,414 units during December month, as against 1,11,333 units in December 2015, Maruti Suzuki India Ltd said in a filing to the Bombay Stock Exchange.
However, its exports during the month jumped 47.1 per cent to 11,494 units, as compared to 7,816 units in December last year.
MSIL's mini segment car sales, including Alto and WagonR declined 15.3 per cent to 31,527 units as compared to 37,234 units in the year-ago month, the company said in a statement.
