Sri Lanka, April 20 -- An official delegation from the Sri Lankan Foreign Affairs Ministry is scheduled to travel to New Zealand from April 22 to 25 to oversee preparations for the opening of the Sri Lankan High Commission in Wellington. Pradeepa Saram, Director General of the Overseas Assets Management and Development Division, will lead the delegation.

During the visit, the delegation will hold meetings with officials from the New Zealand Ministry of Foreign Affairs and Trade, as well as other relevant agencies and stakeholders.

The decision to establish a High Commission in Wellington was approved by the Cabinet of Ministers in January this year, following a proposal by Foreign Affairs Minister Ali Sabry.
